The Richard Williams Memorial Award 2021

By | Awards | No Comments

The IGG are proud to support an award honouring the scientific contributions and memory of Dr. Richard Williams, set up by Lhasa. This award will support early career investigators within industry. The Richard Williams Memorial Award will include a certificate, travel, registration and accommodation expenses for attendance to the United Kingdom Environmental Mutagen Society (UKEMS) meeting.

Please share this message with colleagues and encourage all eligible young scientists to put themselves forward for this award. To apply, please send a title and abstract (max 300 words) to the IGG Committee (info@theigg.co.uk) by 30th September 2021.

Candidates should have completed their most recent degree a maximum of 5 years ago, and their research should have an obvious industrial interest or application.  However, the IGG Committee will have consider reasonable exceptions to these criteria on a case-by-case basis.  All candidates should be UK-based or affiliated with a UK based company or institution.

Note: In addition to Richard Williams awards entries, the IGG are also looking for short talks from early career scientists (even earlier career scientists!) to feature at our meeting.  This would particularly apply to current students, or those recently joining the field.  Again, topics with an industrial interest of application are preferred.
